QBO occasionally requires the bank connection to be reconfirmed in order to keep the bank feed active. When this happens, you will need to re-enter your online banking information to reconnect.
We recommend submitting feedback to QBO (QBO > Gear Icon [top-right] > Feedback) about the ongoing disconnection issue with RBC accounts when 2FA is enabled.
To Reconnect Your Bank Account
- Navigate to Transactions > Banking.
- If a bank account requires reconnection, you will typically see a notification on the affected account.

- To reconnect, use the Complete Secure Connection button or click the pencil icon and select Edit Sign-In Info.

Enter your online banking details. Once connected, QBO will automatically import any missing transactions from the bank feed. See below for steps to reconnect RBC accounts with 2FA enabled.
Reconnecting an RBC Account with 2FA Enabled
RBC’s 2FA requires authorization through your trusted device. This process is not compatible with QBO’s interface, making it difficult to maintain a stable connection.
To reconnect an RBC account with 2FA enabled, follow the steps above and temporarily disable 2FA:
- On your mobile or trusted device, log in to the RBC app and navigate to Settings.
- Select 2-Step Verification and disable the setting.
- Follow the steps above to reconnect the bank account in QBO.
- Re-enable 2-Step Verification in the RBC app.
If you choose to keep 2FA enabled, Agile will periodically request that you manually refresh the bank feed to ensure your accounts remain up to date and reconciled.
