If you have a CRA My Account (personal), skip ahead to Step 2.
Step 1 - Register for My Account
Register to get a CRA Security Code
- Go to this website: CRA My Business Account
- Scroll down, and choose the “CRA register” option:
Make sure you have a copy of last year’s personal tax return on hand when registering, as CRA will ask a random question about the return to verify it is you. Once you answer a few questions, they will ask you how you want to get your security code delivered, either email or regular mail service.
Step 2 - Register My Business Account
- Navigate to the “Profile” section of your account
- Under “Business number(s) in your profile select Manage Business number(s) in your profile
- Select “Add Business”. On the next page enter your business number and follow the on-screen prompts to add the business to your My Business Account.
