Agile uses an online accounting software (QuickBooks) which means we will import your historic Sage50 data from your desktop software into our online accounting tool.
Below are the key steps we need you to take to enable us to make the transfer:
Check your file integrity:
- Check your Sage 50 file via Maintenance > Check Data Integrity. If there are any inconsistencies, these need to be resolved before sharing the file via Dropbox.
- If you identify any errors flagged by this check please contact us at onboarding@agilebk.com.
Create/Upload Sage 50 Backup File
- Create a backup of your Sage 50 file. Save the backup file in a location that is easy to locate, as it will be used for upload in a later step.
- Open Sage 50 and the company you want to back up: Make sure you are logged into the correct company file.
- Go to File > Backup: Alternatively, if you are in Enhanced View, you can click the Backup icon (a file cabinet) on the toolbar.
- Enter a file name: The suggested name can be changed, but it's important to ensure that you don't overwrite previous backups if you want to keep them.
- Choose a backup location: Click "Browse" to select where you want to save the backup file, or accept the default location.
- Upload Sage 50 Backup File to Shared Dropbox Folder Link
Pull Trial Balance Report
- Pull Trial Balance Report (in a spreadsheet format such as xlsx or csv file) as of the conversion date and upload to Shared Dropbox Folder Link. This will be used by Agile to ensure the data migration was successful and without error
IMPORTANT: Once a Sage 50 backup file is provided to Agile for migration to Quickbooks Online, NO CHANGES OR ADJUSTMENTS should be made to the Sage 50 system as they will not be included in the migration.
If you have questions or need assistance with this process, please reach out to onboarding@agilebk.com.
